Kitchen Renovation Creating a Distressed Look

This old timber kitchen has been completely transformed into a beautiful, timeless antique appearance

This kitchen and has been given a new lease of life with a distressed look that replicates a bygone era. The effect has been achieved using Rustoleum Chalked Paint. Linen White has been used on the cupboards and Serenity Blue has been used as a feature on the chopping block and display cabinet.

Chalked paint is ideal for renewing dated furniture and is an inexpensive way to revive second hand furniture picked up from a garage sale or second hand furniture store.

Chalked Paint has become extremely popular in recent times and its easy to see why. It is very easy to use and achieve a professional finish - simply brush the product on and then sand it a little to achieve a worn look. And brushes wash up in water.

The only trick is to use a fine grit sandpaper and for curved or more intricate areas - a sanding sponge is recommended. To protect the finsh, a protective glaze can be applied.

Pop in to any Crowies store for advice on using Chalked Paint and for all your painting needs.
